A few of you have asked questions when I handed you the slip of paper with this little web address on it so here are some answers for you.

Is this MY website or is it something to do with work? This is my site - I've had the domain name for years. It regularly goes through a major overhaul - hence there isn't much here at the moment. If you must know, the last site was a giant cooking and recipe exchange.

Am I a web developer? No again. I just like playing with websites. I have in the past been the 'web-master' or community manager for the the Health & Safety site at work, however in my current position I have very little IT involvement.

The more technical of you have asked what the site runs on - the bulletin board is simply a 'bolt-on' freely available on the web. It is php and has a mySQL backend. It is run on my own server, I don't have it hosted outside. We're proudly running it on Apache, our in-house systems are Linux and I use KUbuntu as an operating system with a gnome desktop. None of this important when it comes to using the bulletin board. That part is just type and click
