OHS Administration Officer

Baker IDI is offering an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic OHS graduate, or someone currently completing an OHS qualification, to join an experienced team of OHS professionals.
To succeed in this role the successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills. Initially reporting to the General Manager OHS, your main focus will be to:
Provide OHS administrative and project support for a variety of OHS initiatives, activities, and programs, including OHS Induction and training, Occupational Health and Wellbeing, OHS Committees, chemical management, radiation safety, biosafety, and the Baker IDI Risk Management Program;
Assist with the development, implementation, and promotion of OHS policies, procedures, systems and processes at all Baker IDI workplaces;
Maintain OHS records and databases such as training, incidents, Risk Management, risk assessments;
Undertake other general office duties such as filing, ordering and purchasing.
Requirements for this role include:
Diploma or above or equivalent in OHS or science-related field, or Occupational Health or nursing background (desirable).
Current knowledge of OHS and other applicable OHS-related legislation (desirable).
1-2 years OHS experience (desirable).
Relevant experience in a research/industrial/academic environment (desirable).
